I guess this qualifies, technically, as the last "movie" I saw. Its movie length, and I caught on DVD, anyway.
It is, of course, one of the various Cirque du Soliel performances, and it features all of the usual unbelievably amazing and wierd stuff that they do. The whole time I was watching it I kept thinking that this stuff reminds me so much of Neil Gaiman in some odd way. Its the look of things and the art and the colors. Its all very dream like.
I love the music and I am amazed by the crazy ninja-like prowess of everyone involved and the crazy set design. The music is fantastic and the whole thing just washes over you with a delirious and confusing but awesome surrealistic spectrum of talents and tricks. I swear that one of these days I am going to manage to see this stuff in person. Its on my top five things to do in life list. I could probably watch any one of the Cirque du Soliel performances five times and not get sick of it.
